Community Services Block Grant
Serving Knox, Holmes, Coshocton, and Ashland Counties

The Community Services Block Grant is a federally funded program with the primary focus goal being to eliminate the causes of poverty. CSBG is the core funding for Community Action Agencies, meaning the CSBG is what establishes agencies as Community Action. Community Action Agencies determine specific programmatic usage utilizing Community Services Block Grant funding.  The CSBG is guided by six national goals with corresponding direct measures.  Results Oriented Management for Accountability (ROMA) is a component of CSBG to more accurately determine outcome-based results.

Population Served:

Individuals or families with a household income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Services Provided:

Broad-based. Supplemental funding for programs and services which serve low-income individuals and/or families.  Seed funding for new programming to fill gaps in community services.

Goals:

To remove obstacles and solve problems which block the achievement of self-sufficiency for low-income persons.

Income Guidelines:

125% of the Federal Poverty Level.
